Client: Ragtime Treats

Ragtime Treats, a charming ice cream truck in Canby, Oregon, sought a brand identity that embodied their love for music and ice cream. Their goal was to create a playful, retro-inspired look that captured the joy of their unique offerings and appealed to kids, families, and music enthusiasts alike.



We began with Brand Strategy, identifying their mission: to bring smiles to the community through sweet treats and musical nostalgia. Their personality—vibrant, whimsical, and family-friendly—drove the design direction. The resulting brand identity blends bright, cheerful colors with lively custom illustrations and typography inspired by early 1900s ragtime music, evoking a sense of fun and nostalgia.




The deliverables included a versatile logo suite, illustrated patterns, and playful, vintage-style characters that bring the brand to life. These elements were applied across merchandise such as t-shirts, hats, and stickers, as well as ice cream truck graphics and social media templates. To further enhance their presence, I designed a website that captures the brand’s whimsical spirit while providing practical functionality, like tracking the truck’s daily stops.



Since the project’s completion in June 2023, Ragtime Treats’ bold and joyful branding has made them a standout favorite in their community. The visual identity not only attracts kids and families but also resonates with music lovers, ensuring Ragtime Treats leaves a lasting impression wherever their truck rolls.
